This is an update on the cat successfully trapped last week in Florida with a rope embedded in his neck.
Muffin, now known as Buddy Holly (and has also turned out to be an unaltered male), made the news after being rescued by Undercats4Life.
According to a February 7 report by WSVN News, Miri Armoza found the injured cat and Undercats4Life was contacted after Miri was unable to catch poor Buddy Holly.
This sweet boy will likely recover from his injuries, and is heavily sedated, on painkillers and taking antibiotics to treat his infections at Pet Doctor of Davie, Florida.
Buddy has now undergone his fourth surgery. Surgeries performed Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and Monday worked on the near fatal injury, and he was also neutered during one of the operations done last week.
Thankfully, Buddy Holly also tested Felv/FIV negative, and will be put up for adoption once he heals. It’s likely the next week will be spent recovering at his vet.
Undercats4Life is offering a $200 reward for clues regarding whether Buddy Holly was abused. To donate to Buddy Holly’s treatment or for questions about adoption, please contact the Pet Doctor of Davie at 954-900-2100 or e-mail Fixflorida@undercats4life.org.
