‘Freeway,’ found on busy highway in Ohio, has been in rescue for over a year

December 10, 2014

Not all dogs get a home once a rescue takes them in. Some fall between the cracks, waiting years for that forever family to come along.

Freeway, an American Bulldog and Pit Bull Terrier mix has definitely been overlooked, despite his clown-like behavior to bring attention to himself. Facebook: Rescue Me Ohio posted Freeway on their Facebook page in hopes of finding him a home.

According to a Petfinder post, Freeway, who has been waiting over a year and a half, is under the loving care of Mercy’s Door Pet Rescue in Greenwich, Ohio, where the rescue has described this gorgeous boy and the type of home he’d do best in

“Freeway……yes you guessed it, this gorgeous boy was found running on Route 8. He is a big, goofy, lovable guy who is longing for a family of his very own.. Freeway would love to find a home where he is the only fur baby, but doesnt mind human kiddos at all in fact, he loves the attention they give. He is a cuddle bug for sure and sweet as can be… doesnt require much but belly rubs and snuggles. Freeway is a patient boy and really aims to please people. If interested in meeting him visit here and fill out an application.”

Are you the right person to offer Freeway a forever home? Apparently, he doesn’t mind playing dress up and will make someone a wonderful companion. Look at that grin! He should be in Hollywood with that smile!

If you can help Freeway, please contact them at the above link and fill out an application. Be sure to share this sweet boy with friends, especially those in the Greenwich, Ohio area.
