Beautiful dog dumped from pickup truck needs donations to have his legs repaired

December 29, 2014
Meet Quasimodo, who was born with a genetic defect of his carpus (or wrist) joint. This beautiful dog was picked up in Ohio by a game warden after a call came in of him being dumped out of a pickup truck. Quasi now needs donations to have his legs repaired from his birth defect.
People have grown to love Quasi, who is described as everything from a St. Bernard to an American Bulldog mix, and wanted to make his life better.

Quasi has a lot of difficulties getting around due to his legs being crooked. He has to balance on his elbows as he walks, or walking is painful. The volunteers and staff fell in love with his big heart and loving spirit and he has ended up in the arms of some people who are willing to do whatever it takes to help him.

Leann Hughes and her family are fostering Quasi, trying to make his days as fun-filled as possible. Not only that, but Dr. Jonathan Dyce at Ohio State Univesity Veterinary Medical Center is going to perform a carpal fusion on Quasi, which will get him walking on all 4 paws.

This surgery is going to be costly, but this sweet guy deserves a normal life.

Quasi’s leg surgery is going to cost $4,000-$5,000. This does not include the weekly splint care, which he will need for 6 weeks post-op.

You can follow Quasi via his Facebook page.
