$5,000 reward offered for information in death of abused South Carolina dog

February 10, 2015
According to Facebook: Justice for Baby Boy post, a $5,000 reward has been offered for a South Carolina dog who met a horrible death.
The administrators of the page reached out to Examiner after several days passed with no leads on the person responsible for the October death of a beautiful pit bull named Baby Boy.
On September 16th, 2014, Baby Boy was found deceased and brutally tortured at 2651 Clemson Road in Columbia. The dog’s injuries were violent and severe, his tattered body had been dragged, stabbed, cut, had the most horrific old and new wounds showing his muscles and bones all over his body.

Baby Boy showed black bruises on his face, possibly from being beaten. One of his paws was missing it’s nails, his left eye was carved as if someone purposely inflicted a horrible wound into his eye, and his face had multiple trauma. On top of all this, Baby Boy had what appeared to be a gunshot wound to his forehead.

The injuries were both old and new, suggesting this poor dog had suffered abuse for some time before his death.

Richland County Sheriff’s Department Animal Investigator was contacted on September 16, 2014, and three days later it was determined that the majority of the wounds were not associated with torture. The majority of the wounds were the result of being hit by a car and dragged.

RCSD Animal Investigator’s findings state

‘The dog could have been in an organized fight that lasted only a few moments or most likely was roaming free and got into a scuffle with another dog.

A forensic vet has determined the pictures are that of the dog being hit and drug. The investigation has concluded and no CRIME can be PROVEN to have been committed’.

Justice for Baby Boy is offering a $5000 dollars reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of individual(s) who tortured, dragged and murdered this dog.
