On May 5, 2014, the world lost another four-legged hero. PEDD MWD Chyan passed away and is dearly missed by all who knew him.
Chyan served in Kosovo, Iraq, Afghanistan, Belgium, and The Netherlands.
After retiring August 24, 2011, Chyan became a family dog, who took pleasure in being close to his people.
He was 15 years old, and had been enjoying the retired life at the time of his passing. Plans were made to bury Chyan with full military honors.
Chyan will be missed, both as a hero, and as the furbaby he became during his retirement years. He led a very long life. May his eternity be filled with grass to roll in and bones to gnaw on.
Thank you for your service, dear boy. You are truly a hero.
