Update March 10 adopted
This sweet pup, rescued by a Connecticut police officer, is ready for a forever home.
Little Devil, who is around one year old and full of energy and needs a family who has the time and patience to deal with an active pup still in need of some social skills.
Little Devil was taken to Newtown Veterinary Specialists, where he was taken into their care. He’s a sweet pup who loves to run around and would do well in a family who can provide lots of love.
Since he’s a wild little boy who’s recovering from a traumatic injury, his vet advises Little Devil needs a home without young kids, and who can provide lots of training.
When he has been in the presence of other dogs, he reacts well and engages in playful activity. He has shown slight resource guarding (he will let you pick up his bowl but he will growl a little, never has he tried to do more) with his food dish so he would do well with someone who is willing to work with him on that.
He gets spooked if someone comes at his face at a fast pace (no surprise given his experience), so as of right now his vet wouldn’t recommend a home with children, simply because it is unknown as to how he would react to a child tugging or climbing on him.
This poor little thing has been in a kennel at NVS for over a month now and is desperate to have a place where he can run and play. If you can open your heart and your home to him, please call Kristen Miller, Client Services or Bernadette Vinci, Hospital Manager.
