Adopter of retired IDD Books M185 is seeking info from former handlers

June 18, 2013

Tom Sardo is the proud parent of retired IDD (IED Detection Dog) Books M185, who is now retired from the U.S. Marine Corps. Tom has come forward with the desire to learn more about his dog, and to share stories of Books with his previous handlers.

This is not a case where the retired IDD is up for adoption to the former handler. Tom simply wants to fill in Books history while serving with the U.S.M.C.

Books has been with Tom since his adoption from American K9 Inc on August 4, 2012. Tom knows Books has been to both Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s very likely someone in the military will remember Books, as he was one of the first IDD dogs the Marine’s tried out.

If you know of any previous MWD handlers, or if you have information on IDD Books M185, please contact Tom using his Facebook page.
