Fayobserver interviewed Dr. John Lauby, director of Cumberland County Animal Control, who stated
“Somebody slaughtered those two dogs,” Dr. John Lauby, director of Cumberland County Animal Control.
“They look like a golden-lab mix. It’s a mother and baby. I don’t think an owner killed these dogs. They were somebody’s dog. Someone is missing their pets right now. It’s awful.”
A sheriff’s release said the jugular veins had been cut on both dogs, and they likely bled out in around four minutes. One dog reportedly was wearing a collar.
