A former Easley dog rescue owner sentenced to probation for rabies violations and drug offenses was arrested November 30 for violating probation, Fox Carolina News reported December 1 after being found innocent of 32 charges earlier this year.
According to Anderson County Detention Center records, Sheridan, the owner of Golden S Rescue, was arrested Monday and charged with violation of probation by South Carolina’s Probation, Pardon, and Parole Department. Arrest warrants state Sheridan lied to officers about using drugs and tested positive for methamphetamine and other drugs. She was arrested for violating her probation, according to Anderson County Detention Center records.
After being found guilty of two counts of rabies violations as well as methamphetamine possession, conditions of her probation included random drug testing as well as inspections to ensure Sheridan wasn’t operating an animal rescue operation during her five years of probation. Sheridan was also ordered by an Anderson County judge to surrender all of her animals to Anderson County P.A.W.S., who had housed Sheridan’s animals in the past.
South Carolina Probation, Pardon, and Parole Department confirmed the arrest on Monday. Sheridan is scheduled for a hearing December 14. WSPA7 News reported December 1 that Sheridan is still in custody at the Anderson County Detention Center.
