It’s documented in papers filed in Manhattan Superior Court last week that Biassi told animal advocates that Jake is being punished for biting him, and says Jake is a vicious dog. For this reason, Biassi withheld proper food, water, and shelter.
On March 12, a judge declined to order an arrest warrant, but the case is due back in court later this month.
It’s sad to think that with the testimony of respected animal advocacy groups, who witnessed the abuse and neglect of poor Jake, a judge can still refuse to do the right thing and step in to save his life.
