A refusal to clean his room has left a South Carolina man injured and his son in jail, Fox Carolina News reported October 13.
Deputies were dispatched to a Southern Avenue address in Spartanburg on Monday in reference to a fight. When police arrived, Miguel Brown exited the residence with a baseball bat and asked the police to take him to jail.
After dropping the bat, Brown, 19, was arrested for assault and battery after beating his dad after becoming upset for not cleaning his room. Brown struck his father, Joel Guzman, in the back of the head. Guzman then struck Brown in the nose and face to get him off of him.
Guzam told deputies he’d thrown his son out of the house, at which point Brown took the screen off his window and re-entered the home.
Brown was taken to Spartanburg County Detention Center.
