A Greenville man will spend the rest of his life behind bars after being convicted of multiple sex crimes. Fox Carolina reported the story May 15.
Solicitor Walk Wilkins said the abuse occurred between 2003 and 2011. One case of abuse began when the victim was only 5-years-old back in May 2012.
Norman Hunt Jr., 46, and Olivia Ross-Hunt, 35 of Greer learned of the abuse and blackmailed Hunt Sr. by instructing him to open a bank account to deposit hush money.
Eventually, the family of the victim found about the abuse and called authorities.
Hunt has a previous conviction of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor back in 1988.
Hunt Jr. and Ross were each charged with child neglect in 2012, as well as with blackmail.
