A North Carolina teen is in trouble after an unusual attempt to kill her grandmother, Fox Carolina News reported April 25.
Johnson is being held at Cumberland County jail on $500,000 bond. Since she is older than 16, Johnson has been charged as an adult.
In an interview with The Fayetteville Observer, Gaylon stated
“We started feeling funny afterwards. He and I started feeling very funny, started feeling numb from my waist up.”
Gaylon told the Observer that she was going to drive herself and Clifton to the hospital, but a friend advised against it, and drove the two to the hospital
Clifton is still experiencing some numbness in his fingers. Both he and Gaylon are expected to recover.
The deed might have gone unpunished, thinking it a bad case of food poisoning, had a friend not overheard Johnson telling a friend what she had done. Johnson did apologize to Clifton, saying she only meant the ‘greens’ for her grandmother.
Johnson also admitted to her crime to Fayetteville investigators.
