Her 2013 Harley Davidson was headed south, and the bus was traveling north when it attempted to turn onto New Prospect Church Road.Marsha wasn’t wearing her helmet at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Laurens School District 55 Superintendent Dr. Billy Strickland was at the scene of the wreck and stated none of the four students, ranging from ages five to 20, were injured. The 72-year-old driver was wearing a seatbelt and also escaped injury.
Marsha was known for her love of animals and community and often rode to help raise donations for upstate charities. She had stated in the past that she feared she would be killed while riding.
