Elizabeth, the sweet kitty thrown into an open fire by a 13-year-old, is doing well, Facebook posted November 29.
Elizabeth must undergo debriding every day or two, but she’s recovering well. Those involved in her care says she’s a very sweet cat and never complains. She’s definitely not a quiet cat and offers head butts and a bit of cat talk whenever the opportunity arises.
Her fur is trying to grow back, and according to the most recent Facebook post, it’s velvety soft. Elizabeth does have raw areas on several parts of her body, but hopefully, they’ll heal over time.
No word yet on what will happen to the 13-year-old boy who did this to Elizabeth. He’s been charged, and it’s unlikely we’ll learn much about the case since he’s considered a “minor.”
Elizabeth has fleecy blankets and lots of toys to keep her company. When she’s released from vet hospitalization, Elizabeth has an excellent home waiting for her.

Please keep Elizabeth in your thoughts in the weeks ahead.
