One of the things that tend to end up on the back burner during a natural disaster is clean laundry. Families in the areas affected by the Texas floods have a lot on their plate right now. Between worrying about the safety of friends and family, pets, lost or destroyed possessions and clean water, a lot of people don’t realize just how rejuvenating it is to have clean clothes.
For this reason, the Tide Loads of Hope truck will be arriving in the San Marcos, Texas area by June 2 to assist in the disaster relief effort. In a May 29 post on Facebook: Tide
“Tide Loads of Hope will be arriving in the San Marcos, TX area by Tuesday, June 2. We will be providing free full service laundry to relief workers and residents of Texas who are in need of resources and support following the damage caused by the floods. We will be updating local residents on our location and operating hours through our social channels and a directly distributed media alert.”
Tide Loads of Hope provides relief with their mobile Laundromat, washing, drying and folding clothes for families in need. One truck and a fleet of vans house over 32 energy-efficient washers and dryers that are capable of cleaning over 300 loads of laundry every day. Those who provide the service spend multiple days at the disaster site washing, drying and folding clothes for free for the families affected.
Please share this announcement with those in the San Marcos area. The Tide Facebook page will update when the details are finalized. To learn how you can help Tide Loads of Hope, please click here.
