This is the story of two shelter workers in Texas, a hotel room, and a sick three-legged dog. Please read on, and share their tale.
Ty and Rene are caring for Lady Cherie, a deaf tri-paw who was diagnosed with heartworm and is currently undergoing a treatment that is very hard on her. These wonderful volunteers from her shelter have been staying with her in a hotel for the past month while she undergoes her treatment.
Their time at the hotel is up on March 11 and Lady Cherie still does not have a foster or adopter. Which means that after a month of treatments and staying in a hotel, experiencing love and attention, Lady Cherie will have to go back to the shelter.
Facebook: Lady Cherie (page is down now) has been set up to get the word out. At the time of this article, Lady Cherie has more than 2,000 fans. She’s also receiving quite a few doggy treats to help her pass the time. Check out her page for some hilarious photos and videos.
Although the ladies are prepared to continue Lady Cherie’s care at the shelter, they would much rather find a foster or adopter to prevent this from happening.
If you can offer this precious girl a home, even a temporary one, please contact Lady Cherie’s “human servants” via Facebook.
