The reward for information leading to an arrest of the person who dragged a one-year-old pit bull behind a pickup has now increased to $2,000, Facebook reported December 3.
“We have raised her reward to $2000 for any information leading to an arrest. Someone has to know this person!”
Local news station Fox Carolina carried her story last night, and today rival station WSPA updated this sweet girl saying she has now begun to walk. The WSPA video showing her progress can’t be embedded, but can be shown here.
Since being rushed to Upstate Veterinary Specialists on Friday, Andra Grace has brought animal lovers together who are rallying around her. People have donated more than $9,800 to her $10,000 goal at YouCaring. Her bill will likely go even higher since her healing will take several months. Some of her wounds were so severe they may never heal.
SNARR Northeast, located in White Plains, New York, took responsibility for Andra Grace after rescue representative Cynthina Saracino met this sweet dog as soon as Andra arrived for treatment at Upstate Specialists. SNARR says people from all over the country have offered to adopt her once she’s able to go to a home environment.
